Yay! 2012 is here!

Happy New Year everyone! I am so glad it is here. New starts, new chances or something like that...  <wink>

Hope you all had a great evening? We didn't get home until 2 in the morning!!! I think the last time that happened for us was B.K. (= before kids)

Before we went to our party however I baked a million 'oliebollen & apple beignets' (= deep fried Dutch yeasty balls that we only eat on New Year's Eve (and the morning after...)).
Here are some impressions....

And to keep me going (standing at the deep-fryer for a considerable amount of time needs some enforcement!) I had one of these: a Framboise Lambic...

At 8pm we met 5 other couples at a fabulous Thai restaurant in Seattle. We all came from very different backgrounds but got along famously (with some famous people, pun intended) and hopefully we will meet some of them again soon. We went to our friend Kim's house after for some dessert and Champagne and waited for the clock to strike twelve.  All in all a fabulous and relaxing evening!  {smile}   (but now I am just a teeny weeny bit tired...)
