Look who came to visit today, just as I was at the ready with my camera: the Northern Flicker! What gorgeous birds and so difficult to catch (in a picture) since they are so 'flittery'... (I don't think that is a real word, but I think you know what I mean)
I think the worst of all the rain (and there was a lot!) has gone for now and hopefully it wills start clearing up soon. I don't know how much more I can take of this dull and dreary weather... (bleeeegh!)
At least I still have my bag to keep me going. Today I've been fiddling with the shoulder strap and the parts where it attaches to the bag. So far so good, although my machine was seriously upset with me and blinked off and on several times! (never a good sign)
Really nice pictures. I really like the flicker, we get them in our yard as well. I don't think I have ever seen them this close up before. What a beak, eh? Awesome.
ReplyDeleteWhat a beak indeed! We have placed the feeder right in front of our kitchen window a couple of days ago and it has obviously paid off for my pictures already! :-)
