Halloween Roundup...

Even though I am not Halloween fan at all, I have to admit I had a good time last night! Pumpkins were carved, neighbors' houses were decorated and lots of fun dress-up was to be seen. And candy was eaten of course...

Very foggy and spooky outside...
Miss M. and her friends decided to dress up as gnomes so I made them the hats and added a little bell to each one of them. They sang songs on our porch and all the neighborhood kids were mightily impressed!

I was already impressed that they (teenagers I will remind you) came up with this idea themselves and actually went through with it!  <wink>

A bit blurry but you get the idea...
I fed all the kids (8 in total) with Macaroni & Cheese while the grown-ups were fed pumpkin soup and chili with lots of accouterments (read wine & beer) across the road. A party on a Monday night, what is not to like?  {smile}

Now onwards to X-mas we go! Oh no, first there is Thanksgiving of course... That will be our first longer break since August (no Autumn vacations here unfortunately) so that will be nice...

  2. What a night you had! And the weather was evidently very suitable for the purpose...
    Here in the southern part (SKÅNE) of Sweden we celebrate "Mårten Gås", a holiday when we eat goose with family and friends! We are having dinner fot eighteen people here...puh!
    So that comes before I can think of christmas!
    The gnomes looked so cute!

  3. WHat pleasant teenagers! You had such moody Halloween weather. It was quite sultry here which is the one thing they will never be able to adjust to match the Northern Hemisphere Halloween!
