It Fits!

Oh boy,  was I nervous this morning when I had to try on this dress or what?!

As soon as I came across this pattern two weeks ago, I knew I just had to make it. My favorite feature was the trimmed split in the front. I added a contrasting fabric for the split and another contrasting fabric for the trim, the fancy pockets that I like so much, et voila! The dress calls for very small sleeves but I quite like it the way it is right now. I'll have to ponder over that one...
And made out of an old vintage sheet at that!
The only problem was that I had some problems with the zipper (as always) and then, when I tried to close the zipper on the mannequin, it didn't close!!!
I was so happy with the results and was terrified that it wouldn't fit. I waited until this morning to try it out (and to gain some courage in case it really wouldn't fit), but no worries, it fit like a charm. I actually made a couple of pictures of me wearing it but now I can not find the right cable for that little camera so you'll have to take my word for it.

I'm happy, happy, happy!  (now all we need is some sunshine!)

    1. Ik moet er ook om lachen Stefanie, but why the heck not? ;-) De stof is helaas niet al te sterk, maar voelt wel heerlijk aan voor de zomer. Vandaag ook hier echter geen zomer te bekennen: het giet!!!

  9. What a very pretty dress and all from a vintage sheet? Marvellous. If you buy a memory card reader, you will never need to hunt for your usb cable ever again!
