Weekly roundup...

Pfieuw, we've made it to Friday! The first week after a long break is always tough, especially now that the weather has turned so utterly depressing... There is a very funny color in the sky right now. They are warning for the return of a cold front so maybe some snow? That wouldn't be bad at all since that always lifts my mood. I tried to make a picture of the sky but it doesn't show much, just lots of clouds...

Anyway, the week went by fairly quick. I spoke to an old Dutch friend of mine on the phone on Monday: Yeah Linda! :-)  C. had another electric bass lesson that afternoon and M. started her crazy Basketball practice schedule. This hard work paid off, because she just heard she has made the Middle School A-Team!

On Wednesday I had to take C. back to the orthodontist to order a new retainer. It's a long story but his previous one broke (through no fault of him) and we've decided to get a different type instead: $175! The only good thing was that we were able to pick up the new retainer the next day already, which was very necessary since one of his teeth had started to shift already!

This morning started off with a fun coffee get-together with other mom's of C.'s class and it was great to catch up again. After that I had a quick wardrobe change and continued onward till Little Bit, the horse therapeutic center. With all the rain bucketing down we once again stayed in the indoor arena. Rather boring but our rider didn't seem to mind, she just babbeled away the time...

So now today C. is off on the school's first ski bus trip of the season. He loves snowboarding and boarding with your friends is even more fun so he will be a very happy fellow today. They won't be back to school until 11pm tonight though so G. will have to make a late (half an hour one way!)trip to pick him up. (I'll be long asleep by then)

M. has another Basketball practice tomorrow morning (on a Saturday since their first game is already this coming up Tuesday) and we have to take Olive to the vet for a return visit from last week. In the evening we have a school-colleagues get-together and Sunday will be spent doing nothing: Yay!

So, now you are all up to date with our activities. I would love to hear about yours! Cheerio!
